Muharraq Nights Festival Presents Creative Activities and Interactive Sessions in the Historic City

The fourth edition of the Muharraq Nights Festival continues to deliver an integrated program of creative activities and interactive sessions along the 3.5-kilometre Pearling Path, inviting visitors to cultural and knowledge-based experiences that explore Muharraq’s history and heritage. Full program details and advance registration are available via the Pearling Path website www.pearlingpath.bh, as well as on the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities’ accounts @CultureBah and @pearlingpath.

The program opens with a maritime experience from Qal’at Bu Mahir Port aboard the historic “Kanoo 2” jalboot, taking participants on a coastal journey that includes oyster-shucking and fishing, an experience that reflects Muharraq’s longstanding relationship with the sea.

Creative Horizons presents a series of workshops inspired by the local environment, including “T-Shirt Design Session: Design from Muharraq”, “Old Bahraini Doors Paper Quilling” led by Eman Hussain Ali, “Creative Visual Art” with Bashayer Al Mahdi, and “Creative Content & Concept Creation” with Hajer Abdulaziz, exploring how ideas develop into concepts and translate into visual and digital content.

As part of the discussion program, Shaikha Al Abbasi of Solid Studio leads “Creative Circles: Agency Edition”, offering a participatory space to exchange insights and practical lessons from the world of creative enterprises. The festival also features “Nights Studio”, a portrait-photography experience with Mohammed Al Emadi.
The program also includes Artyology workshops, from Porcelain Plate Decorating and Lamp Shades Making to Candle Making with Ivory Lab.

Meanwhile, Amana Creative Collective presents “Majlis on the Path”, a weekly initiative highlighting national identity and living cultural memory through themes such as traditional fashion, Bahraini cuisine, Bahraini gold, and Fjiri, alongside “Naghma & Karak” sessions bringing together contemporary musicians, thinkers, and artists.

In its first participation at the festival, Kalimat House contributes discussion groups that blend literature, thought, art, design, and photography, reimagining Muharraq’s cultural presence through a contemporary lens.
The program further includes Arts and Crafts with ARTLY and Calmmess, activities by Makeenti Game Station, and cultural evenings such as the book launch “Saudi Modern – Jeddah in Transition 1938–1964” by Turki Gazzaz and Abdulrahman Gazzaz, as well as “Pages from Muharraq: Book Discussion: Sharina” by Yousif Mohammed Al Binkhalil, alongside activities by the Rashid AlZayani program and workshops at Bait Al Naqda.

The festival also welcomes Sophia Bookstore through initiatives that promote knowledge exchange, as well as live activities at The Art Station that blend heritage and contemporary creativity. The program includes lectures hosted by the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research, activities by Ta’a Al Shabab, and Bahrain Club programs highlighting the club’s history and its role in the Kingdom's sports scene.

Muharraq Nights Festival continues daily until 30 December, from Sunday to Wednesday, 5 PM to 10 PM, and Thursday to Saturday, 5 PM to 12 AM, along the UNESCO-listed Pearling Path.
