As part of his official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, The Honourable E. David Burt, JP, MP, Premier of Bermuda, visited the Bahrain National Museum, where he was received by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.
During the visit, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa affirmed the strength of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Bermuda, expressing his aspiration to expand bilateral cooperation across various fields, particularly in the cultural sector. He highlighted the importance of fostering effective partnerships that encourage cultural investment and serve the mutual interests of both friendly countries.
The President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities accompanied the Premier of Bermuda on a tour of the Bahrain National Museum, during which he was introduced to the museum’s main galleries and collections, showcasing archaeological artefacts that reflect the successive historical periods that have shaped Bahrain’s civilisation.
For his part, The Honourable E. David Burt, JP, MP, Premier of Bermuda, expressed his admiration for Bahrain’s rich cultural and civilisational heritage, commending the efforts of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities in preserving and promoting this heritage at both the local and international levels. He also affirmed his commitment to strengthening cultural cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Bermuda.
